As I walked along this quiet street about 9 am in the morning, I saw a carpenter's truck sitting in front of a house, I could tell that someone came to do some work on a nice small house that was bought last month. The truck owner was leaning against the side of his truck, as I approached, he turned to say "hello". Only he did not really say hello!
What he did was to Dump upon me his anger, his anger about his helper not showing up on time, the very very first thing he says to me was, "you cannot depend upon help these days at all"!
---more anger, more dumping, followed. He complained about how no one *works* these days and everyone is lazy.
I, as he dumped, looked at his face. I could see his Pain, also I could sense a history of drink and alcohol, and emotion never ending, usually in "how awful things are"! A Near-ruined face, full of pain and complainings.
I made Good Excuses to wander on down along the street, I tried to find a good analogy as to what I sensed happens with his workers.
I once knew a man who wondered a bit why he seemed to drive people away, he did not think that just because he worked in a dairy cow barn with 100 cows, at some "low esteem" job, would do it! Of course after years of cows he never ever notices the smell of cow manure! Of course this smell saturated everything that he owns and wears and is also in the very cracks of his skin: no mere shower or bath will even begin to remove this smell, a smell that everyone smells even 50 feet from him!
*That* is what drives people off, and He Does Not Even Know.
So here is this construction company owner who has a bad temper and cares little for his employees, and blames them for all of the problems and they "need" to come around: then he wonders why they quit in a month and drag their heels in coming in to work! I could have probably stood there for over an hour, alone, just hearing just his anger; probably if I was a worker, I could never ever do anything right!
[always interview your boss-to-be, at a job interview, the opening you are filling might be for a good reason! Be sure that your boos is a good person as he is an "employee" to you, in your own Act upon the stage of life, you have to live with him and the working conditions!]
Here is a very good lesson, a lesson in how a "room temperature thermometer inserted into a cup of very hot coffee, will never ever get an Objective reading of the correct coffee temperature, as this cool thermometer will cool the coffee as it sits in the coffee"! ---one conditions the reality around one's self!

light on the Green!
light on the Green!
Light and shadow upon the green grass, and just *so* green, do not tell the plants this, that today's date is Dec 29th.
Oh my! As if the sun beams down a spotlight upon this scene, so many side-shadows!
Note that there are small flowers, even, at this time of year daffodils do not come out, except at these latitudes, I guess.

xmas day tallahassee 2
Tallahassee, florida. Taken on Christmas day, about 11 AM, looking to the north.
I feel a sense of mystery here. There is the greyhound bus station, to my rear, about a block away, and often travelers, on a bus change break, go outside to smoke or to stretch their legs. they will see Tallahassee scenes like of this one, and I wonder what goes through the hearts and minds, of these people?!
Many are from the cold North, this scene might be their first exposure to the subtropics. The "lushness", the "green", the mysterious old mansions: what kind of life is lived here, in these old houses? What does living in a place, with daily scenes like of this one, do to one's Soul?!
I see that some people, who live here, open up to Art
and the expression of Art. others Are Afraid, they become ever the more Conservative, in a kind of Reaction! For living here would surely "urge" one to live in kind, to "Live Lushly"!
I live, myself, about a block or two
away from this scene. All of the "Xmas day photos", near this photo, where taken within one block from here.
a nice cabbage palm, taken on xmas day, about 11 am in the morning, looking to the North. Some of the palms, in the background, have sprung up from seed, "weeds" as it is....

xmas day tallahassee
xmas day tallahassee
This is what december 25th looks like, here in Tallahassee, Fla! Nice and green.
Here it is, Christmas morning, and as I walk the streets, it is as if I am the very last man alive; no cars, no people, even at 11 am in the morning!
here is a near-tropical paridise, where this scene could also be dated for January 25th, as well, sometimes the temperature could even reach 80 degrees, one or two days in january. But I have seen 10 degrees too, in that month!
So here I walk alone, this xmas morning. The shadows are quite apparent
on the street.

So the work continues: Hopefully, the Adult ┬?Autism-Asperger┬? Social Support Group will successfully make the transition to its new meeting mode and continue to meet regularly --- Almost every Saturday, 1:00pm until 2:00pm.
The Adult ┬?Autism-Asperger┬? Social Support group (now more often called the ┬?Social Group┬?) currently meets at 12:00pm at 110 North Adams Street, downtown. We meet in the Education Building of First Presbyterian Church. The precise room we meet in may vary, but is on either the second or third floor ┬? one or two flights of stairs up. The Education Building is near the northwest corner of North Adams Street and Park Avenue, downtown - northward and downhill from the intersection, right next to the church itself. Posted signs will direct attendees to the exact room.
Those individuals who have attended at least one meeting in the past but have not attended since are welcome to return. However, if they require a separate meeting ┬? one-on-one with the facilitator, or otherwise ┬? and/or in a different venue, that can be arranged.
Anyone who would like to be involved in T* A* S* C* apart from the support group and would be interested in meeting for that purpose, please contact the facilitator/ coordinator, Jarl K. Jackson using the information found elsewhere in this issue.

The Triad of Supports
Transforming the social support group into a simple social group was not much of a feat. That is what it had largely been anyway. This was due to the lack of resources ┬? and of resource people. This cannot continue and must change.
There is the outline of a plan for what I call the ┬?Triad of Supports.┬? This was originally conceived by Freestone Wilson and elaborated on by him and myself. The name is a deliberate play on words derived from the so-called ┬?Triad of Impairments┬? that defines the core of autism.
This similarity between the two should not suggest that each part of one corresponds to a part of the other. It simply acknowledges that no one tool, approach, or resource serves all the needs of everyone with autism. Envisioned is an interconnected set of base supports serving as the core for an overall system, utilizing and coordinating existing resources as much as possible.
a concept of autism gotten from a shirt label!
By Freestone Wilson
(Freestone is a 64-year-old individual, self-diagnosed with what he still calls high-functioning autism - although it is would probably be defined as the nonverbal form of Asperger┬?s Syndrome. He has contributed several times to the T* A* S* C* Master and as a prolific writer on a variety of topics, now could have a regular column here.)
(Spelling and grammar are according to his own unique and expressive style.)
yes tis freestone, i thought that i would share with
you all some observation about what i think is with
this observation comes from a very very small event,
and as usual with me, sometimes the very very
lttle-ist thing can open great doors of insight!
in this case it was where i put on a new shirt and
immediately i felt the label of the shirt on the back
of my neck. immediately.
i always wonder why they put them there, where my
neck feels the label.
i wondered...how do normal people live with labels
that rub and touch the skin? A "terrible" thought
to mind, folks....that MOST normals immediately feel
it all right but in a moment they get used to it and
then ignore it and then do not note it anymore as they
wear the shirt.
WHY can't I?!!
i noted that if i were to leave my apt, with that
labeled shirt on, and walk out to the bus 2000 feet
would i enjoy the cool quiet morning with the chirping
birds and the smells of a southern woods?
all i would do is to be very very very very very very
very aware of a shirt label rubbing on my back of my
neck! for all of the 2000 feet and all the way in, on
the bus, too, and all the way up the hill to my coffee
I finally figured out something about autism from
>i think, for me, that the sensation of that label on
my neck, it FILLS my awareness, fills it like of a 2
gigabyte program filling up a 2.1 gig hard drive!
there is no room for anything else. i have a pinhole
sheet of paper for awareness whereas i think that most
normal people have a window to look through.
>i note this with my computer too. once i put a sheet
of white paper next to my computer, here, and i could
not concentrate upon the letter that i was typing as
ALL of my awareness was directed towards that white
square of paper! i had to move it away from sight
i could go on.....i have to keep anything in my
periferal vision exactly the same, while typing, or
can not concentrate a bit on the typings!
>too...there must be something with the "filtering
system" in my brain...as i can not stop any
from becoming the focus of my awareness.
NOW i see why some autistic people seem
like: as if they can not eat a meal until *every*
dish and silverware is in an EXACT place and pattern!
simple: the slightest misplacement of, say, the
will cause that person to be UTTERLY aware of
N-A-P-K-I-N, and not the food or of anything else!
it stands there a sharp pain of focus as
as a needle poked into the finger! i often sit down
to listen to music on my radio and i find the every
object in the room must be in the EXACT same place,
everytime, otherwise i MUST focus on the changed/moved
object, instead of the music!
---yes something with the filterings...and something
with the area of focused awareness. if i see a
dropped raisan on the floor of the bus station, i see
immediately, as that rasin was not there yesterday and
really really stands out!
if i come into a "busy" envirnment, like of a
supermarket that i have never been to, come into it
first time, why in a sense i see nothing! almost as
if i was blind! for all i see is a mass of colors, a
mass with no pattern or purpose. the only way that i
can see something is to focus minutely upon each and
every slight differnece.
once in college, my friend pulled away from me in the
caferteria line and he sat down somewhere in the
crowded hall, before i could get a chance to see where
went. i ended up sitting down alone and i ate as i
could not find him...later he "chewed me out" for not
sitting down with him! i tried to tell him, not too
successfully that the ONLY way that i could ever ever
him at a table would be for me to go and INTERACT with
each and every person in the 500 student caferteria!
i would have to face each person face to face close up
and really really "get into" each person...then go to
the next person...table by table!
>it is as if that I, more than most people, seem to
have a sharper focus on minute "what is right there"
thought as well as in the outer world. no wonder some
couselor in high school would call me an
"underachiever"! i could never see any larger picture
as well as most other people can.
>thus...for instance...i gave little thought to
career, as a college kid...i tended to live in the
moment...i actually failed college miserably...but i
love with the tallahassee climate and live here
years later. see, folks, i noticed the weather and
the trees and the soft air OVER my subject matter of
college study...the live oak tree outside of my
classroom, as i walked by it, it got ALL of my
guess this is why iam basic self centered and live
alone! tis all i can do just to live MY LIFE! if i
a lover/wife/roomate, why i would pay attention only
to them and not even be able to shave in the mornings!
well enough rambling for now...maybe i will write

3 ways of looking at a maple's leaves.

oh boy, this japanese maple sure is pretty!
Here the date is the 19th of december and here in Tallahassee, florida, fall has arrived! A few trees actually change their leaves here, you can see the evergreen magnolia in the background.

all of the fall colors
all of the fall colors
december 18th tallahassee, fla.
Yes tallahassee does have a fall, there are trees that actually glow with color just like in new England in early October.
Takes 60 to 90 days for the "wave of color" to travel south from new York to north Florida! This 30 degree North, is about where the color stops.
note the spanish moss on the tree to the background right, an airplant that grows in subtropical areas of north America! Note also at the rear behind the tree, I see dimly a palm tree!
So here are palms and air plants with "new England" fall folage!!

a japanese maple in front of my georgia belle residence, tallahassee, fla.
fall comes late to tallahassee, today is the
16th of december, and this tree is only about half colored. Some trees that change colors will do so in early january! some trees drop their leaves even as they sprout the new spring leaves as Spring begin here around the middle of febuary, or even the earlier; i have seen northern bushes flower in the middle of january, here!
Spring and fall shake hands, there is a bit of snow about once in 6 to 15 years.

the wind is calm, i was just outside. Reminds me a bit of the photos of the mayan temples in mexico, looking from the top of the pyrimid.
The temperature is about 95 degrees, of course.
What you see, here, is the canopy that is overtop of a city, tallahassee, fla! Under those trees
are houses and apartments.
I get the "sense" from looking at my photo, of a summer day in South Georgia, an old black farmer is out under the sun with his mule, plowing his land. he stops for a moment and wipes his sweaty brow, and to also give Thanks to the Lord for his crops; he looks off into the distance to the old frame wood church, under the trees, near the edge of his land. He and his family go there every Sunday. he looks at his church, under a sky like this, and ponders Life and Death and meaning, none of this "pondering" is in "modern intellectual ways", more closer to the
Zen monk way of meditation, out in the monestary gardens

Here I will lament a bit over my tv experiences!
I was at the local best buy store last week, and I saw two televisions on sale.
One was a Toshiba 24", the other was one of their Insignia housbrands, no reviews on *this* one anywheres, a true "pig in a poke"!
Both had component, s-1 video, progressive.
I first went with the Toshiba, it ranks up there near the top, i discovered, for picture quality.
rate of rapairs too.
it is very very hard for me to check out the picture in a crowded store with 40 tvs all around me! i tried my best there, and i bought it.
I set it up.
I play only ps2, xbox, and other console games on whatever tv that i would end up with, thus i need to sit closer to the set than of someone who watches, say, a movie.
I sat to play a ps2 game. Within about 5 to 10 minutes my eyes felt like they had been dragged though sand! Oh the eyestrain!! I went to bed, now, at 9 Pm. even the next morning my eyes felt terrible, and for half the day too!!
[i recall when the very first color tvs came out, most of them had it where even ten minutes of watching, i would be nearly blind for an hour afterwards!]
I returned this set. Oh the picture, even at s-1 video, was incredible! so clear, nearly 3-D!
But at a terrible price.
I then got full credit on my return, best buy now has their act much much better together, when i returned it.
i then now have the Insignia 27". the picture is "so-so". OK, not great. but i can actually LOOK at the screen for an hour and it is as if i was watching a blank wall, no eye trouble at all.
[I had found that the slyvania series also is good for my eyes, maybe there are more out there, probably all of the Sony tvs are also off limits to me too, another good rated picture tv.
so here i lament that i have to watch a so so tv, rather than a good tv, and i bet i am only one of the few people with this vision problem! it is the "tube' itself, not the content or the motion on the screen, that does this to me.
I wonder how long this Insignia will last, compared to sony-toshibia? i am afraid to find out!
there are no reviews on this huge 100 lb monster of a tv.
but i can live with it, even though there IS a slight problem that seems to be with this tv.
there is a faint stationary moire/herringbone pattern over the whole screen and it appears only in dark areas of my games and in component and s-1 video. not on the snowy tv channels.
i have tried to plug directly in the wall, make sure all other electronics are off, no good, it is still there, this pattern does not move. I live on the 5th floor facing a mile away a formidible police radio tower, one over 100 foot tall. my senior center of 160 residents, the am band is full of circuit noise from the electric circuits, and the radio fm picks up all of the noise of the antenna.
maybe though it is an adjustment inside of the set i need to make, but i cannot just carry a 100 lb set back for repairs even under the year warrentee, i have no car!
is there any way that i can remove this pattern from my screen easily?!
maybe someone here can help with my morie and share any info on the insignia tv series!

Hi all, you that I seem to be so far away in, in time or space, or both!
It is Christmas time again, where does the time go? Now it is Xmas 2005, and I never ever have the time to carefully write out a card so that my writing can be read.
I give thanks, this year, for my health and my living yet another year. For my friends, what few I have. For my city of Tallahassee too, the weather and climate suits me, as I *like* 100 days a year of 90 degrees! The sunsets are amazing and the sky is so soft and blue, there are mysteries here in Tallahassee that would keep me interested for life.
----for that is one of the major things about how to live, that one has to be *interested* in things, or else life is just like watching the clothes swirl around through the window of the washing machine!
As I have no kids, wife, family, and all of my relatives are 1200 miles away, Christmas is mostly in the "sizzle", the days beforehand when everyone is in a good mood and the stores all have carols and the sings at my residence, and all of that.
Xmas is usually a quiet day, but ah last year was the weather pits: 38 degrees with an all day rain! That type of weather is very rare here.
[my autism suffers as the librarians talk non-stop behind me as I try to type this out, so this one shot effort probably is not very focused!
yes, I have all day to do things and there never ever is enough time and I have learned that any little thing that I do takes up all day long!
so I wish everyone a nice year to come. I might not be able, so much, to travel much, in the years ahead, as the airplanes are so bad for my lung condition and the costs keep going up. Thus my wishes have to be somewhat distant, even the friends that I have in Tallahassee are so so so busy with their lives these days.
you got to have spirit in your heart and to be Saved is best. To have a direct hotline to heaven, a two way connection, always "on". I try to pray, on my walks, every day or so. "church" is not an option, the toxicness of church is because of all of the perfumes, colognes, etc...Why one day as I lived in my hometown, in the 90s, I walked to the gospel sing and the open door of this church had it where I could smell the perfume tow blocks away! And there were only ten people there! So my church is the 9 AM walk on Sunday, to the coffee shop, so quiet and no cars and traffic sounds. I then pray.
Thus my day, and my year, is filled with a million little events, no one can stand out, but I can talk for hours and hours on any one of them, need to write ten pages on anyone of them, so I will spare the ink, here, just believe that my life is interesting. My father often talked three to four hours non-stop and no one said one word, and when he had to leave, someone would utter, "too too bad Dudley had to leave: I wanted more"! I tend to be like that!
so have a good year to come.

well hi again, all...
I read, here in the predictions discussion, yet another posting of the
HOPI PROPHECIES. I have seen these many many times and in slight variances, over the years.
While all of the "warnings" have now come true, there is a reason why
I feel that the "dreaded outcome", the earthchanges/end times
of the great time of Purifications, that they foresee,
WILL NOT OCCUR!!
thus if I am right, the prophecy will now be "wrong"!!
[worth, to me, bringing this out of the thread about the Hopi prophecy, just to get my idea to the light of day! At the bottom of this post is a huge huge "bombshell" of a channeled statement, truly a one sentence
statement that could explain ALL of the last 40 to 50 years of our history and why *you* are living in such great stress-filled Times!!]
while I agree with this, that I have seen this prophecy many times, every time that I read it somewheres, I have a new insight about the end times and prophecy!
I have been having a series of dreams, over the last few months, where I have been shown something that the more I think and meditate about these dreams, the more Radical my feelings become about our collective future!
[I will now digress into delving into my two recent dreams and ramble on and on and on, as I am going to end up making a statement, near the end of this "talk", where I am going to say that the 2011/12 times will be a "NO SHOW", nothing might even happen, and we all go on living, and living, and living, and living, without any great collective earthchanges at all, much to the "consternation" of some of these prophets on this board!!]
again: the two dreams.
1...I was shown that two of my friends would die before me, but
"that I would be here, hanging on the the material world, until
THE VERY END"!
2...My airplane to India is waiting on the runway, in Line to come pick up passengers, the number of this plane is "85". I see the number list over the ticket counter and the present number is "10".
Coupling these two dreams with my other experiences, where I cannot readily write about these, I have come to a conclusion about dream number 1....That the "very end" means one of two things, one, that this very end is a collective end, like of "2011".
OR..."The very end", is a phrase that I have read, from a spirit guide, a guide who wrote about people who have a death experience but live, then as they have passed their Set Up deathdate, set up before they were born, they will, as this guide says, "live until the VERY END of their genetic
strength, until their body completely unravels due to old age.
and also about dream number 2...I had first thought, as this dream was given to me on the 10th month, that the 85th month from then, minus ten months, would be about January of 2011, an ominous time.
the myths and "protocols" of interpretations, I have found, do not examine the number of months, it examines the number of Years, thus "85" months is really "85 years"!
I am 64 now, was 64 in that 10th, October month.
6 + 4 = 10!
Thus, if anyone still follows me, this dream, I see now, is inferring that I will live to be 85 years old. One of my grandfathers lived that long, both grandmothers lived till 98 or 99.
but the more time that goes by, if some great disaster will occur, the less that I will be capable of surviving this, as I will be ever ever the older!
---now back to the Hopi prophecy!
---this is one Impressive prophecy, sports fans! I can see, and sense, that the Seers went ahead into time and experienced scenes that they had no cultural background for!
These scenes now have all occurred, the Shoe is waiting to drop. And *when* this shoe drops, so to speak, all manners of terrible things will occur to the world: we now have gone beyond the very last "event" sign!
Here is where I will stick out my "neck" as I cannot prove this idea to you all, or even to myself! All that I sense, is that something "HAPPENED"
after about 1960, or so, that Alters what was foreseen! I cannot here really say if some Being or beings interfered, or that perhaps the human race has gotten its act together better than it appears, in the light of currant events, so that the terrible events will not occur at all.
in other words, I will live a good life until the very very last drop, as that coffee ad says, Maxwell coffee! No major catastrophes, either in 2011 or even 2020, I might die at 85 years old, in 2026, as I am 64 years old now!
nothing major until at least 2026!
I have found "Traces", over the years, of something that could have INDEED altered it all.....I now recall one of these "findings" and I will now
post it here....
I spent some time, once, about 1977, at my summer cottage, reading books about Spiritualism, mostly channeled works. The local Ithaca bookstore had an estate sell to them a man's whole collection of Spiritualism books. I dove in. I would sit on the front porch next to Cayuga lake, all that summer when I was in the mood, I would read.
There was a book, written from South Africa, where a young man, a rock musician and sports car owner, was killed in a car accident. His father was, of course, heartbroken. However, his father had a talent for automatic writing, and soon his son, waking up in the afterlife, made contact with his father and then began to channel a journal, his journal of his heavenly progress through the planes and spheres of the afterlife. The father had a book published with a year or so of these weekly, or so, channeled accounts from his son.
The son mentioned the words "sports car" and "rock and roll".
mentioned these words often. They both lived in the major city, there, on the very coast of the country of South Africa.
This book was published about 1970, maybe even later. There was no "time" stated in the journals or from the father, so that I do not know when the son died.
I suspect the timeframe was about either late 50s [Elvis Presley period]
or the late 60s. Probably the late 60s or even the very early 70s, was when he died.
I will never forget that one or two lines the son stated to his father, in one of the transcriptions, when the son was well advanced in his progress through the upward progressional path through the heavens.
The son was commenting upon the reason
"why the youth of today are so restless"?!
He gave a reason why the youth of today are so restless, in one sentence, a "hydrogen bomb" of a sentence!!
"the reason why the youth of today are so restless is that Jesus Christ has come down through the heavens and now, today, he sits *right* at the boundary of the Astral plane that is nearest to the earthplane, so that his permanent setting there is right at the boundry and all of His energy
and vibrations are stimulating all of today's youths!"
---and here is the "match' that ignites this "hydrogen bomb"!
A writer once visited an Ashram, in India, in the 70s or 80s. he spent several weeks with the Guru. The writer had high respects for this Guru, a very spiritual person. There were quite a few visitors and dwellers, lots of devotees, both Indian and western, at this compound of buildings.
[not sai baba, ??????]
However this writer soon noticed that most of these devotees were *anything* but "spiritual", in fact many of them were near-insane! They seemed to be over-reacting to everything, very unbalanced, very self-centered!
One day this writer went to ask this Guru as to why he seemed to attract
relatively calm devotees, who later became anything *but* calm, as if the reason for all of this was the Guru himself! [shades of "demonic Guru/Cult!"]
The Guru said, " I Know that I am channeling God, the highest vibration, and channeling it into the area of this ashram, thus onto everyone around me. The reason why all the devotees are near-crazy, is that this Shakti
energy stirs up everything that is inside of them, especially the stuff that is repressed or forgotten deep in the lower mind, this energy brings it all out"!
[as in "toxin release!!"]
"bang"! The "hydrogen bomb" is now exploded! One now should sit back and meditate upon that one sentence about Jesus coming right down to the barrier between heaven and earth, the Place where if he came "one more inch down" he would have to Incarnate on the earth!
Now you would know *WHY* these last 40+ years are so 'crazy" and why all of the lower chackras of many of our teens and "ghetto dwellers" are so stimulated! And why Drugs are so popular as now everyone knows that
there is more to life than the physical world, due to Jesus constantly bathing our earthplane with his vibrations!
Thus we all might be "in that ashram", so to speak, being radiated with
Christ's energy, some people advance 30 lifetimes in one life, and some others do a great Toxin release, of all of the crud that is in their 'basement"!
and...Maybe here is why the Hopi prophecies, as well as all of the others, from Nostradamus to cayce, are now
as close to the Second Coming as one could get, without a actual physical appearance! And you are living in it!!
yes, this is why I sense that the "shoe" has not dropped yet, and might never ever drop!
I suspect, if I were to think about it, and I will do this, is that 90% of all of the Changes, from 1960 to 2005, can be traced back to Jesus Christ permanently sitting on the boundary between the Astral plane and the Earthplane!
we are being radiated upon, every moment!

from Cornell university live camera, http://www.cornell.edu
my hometown is just above that little strip of snow at the top, across the lake!
40 to 100 inches a years.....
---a letter that i will insert into all of my 6 or so xmas cards!
Here I sit, Christmas 2005, at a library computer, writing a bit of writing so that I can print this out to include in my Xmas cards to my relatives and friends.
I do not like the idea of "mass mailings" in my cards but my writing is so so poor that no one can read what I write at all! But I type at 5 words per min so there *must* be just one typing for all!
my sister's writing was so poor, that in her social work MSW position, she could write a confidential client memo and leave it on her desk and go for lunch and that memo would be perfectly safe, no one could read it!
My Christmas weeks are full of 1000 little events, where I live in Tallahassee and at my senior residence at Georgia belle apartments. I see lots of embraces and huggings, the relatives come often to see their children.
my walks in a subtropical location are often very nice. I come from a place where they get 40 to 100 inches of snow a year, tis nice.
I remember the christmasses of my past, the childhood xmases and the ones from the 90s when I lived near my aunt in upstate new York. But today, I have no children or wife, I live alone and I like that. My gift givngs tend to be just to mail out cards to a few people.
my only "advice" would be to appreciate one's health and to appreciate what it means to have to celebrate the birth of Jesus and what that would mean to one's own personal life. Then, to appreciate all of the little things in life, to take time to slowly meander through life as there are goodness in the details.
thus have a good year to come, with this in mind....

the other day I was over in the "currant events" section and there was yet another thread about how the us government more or less did in the trade center.
Somewheres here, I took a long walk over to the lunch place a real gourmet cafe that is inside of the local St John's Episcopal church, and sat down and ate my wonderful little lunch with real whipped cream and pondered more a bit, as the Christmas carols played on, over the sound system, in the auditorium, enjoying the quiet before the 60 kids come in for lunch from the local high school, to ponder this a bit more.
I find that there is a great Perspective being Lost, in all of these political conspiracy writings, a basic issue not seen.
"worship the creator, not the created" ....???[maybe the Bible]
"if a garden represents the garden of your life's work on earth, the Grub
Hoe is the tool that is of all of the material possessions that you own, that you use to hoe this garden with. If you collect hoes and brag to your friends about them, the garden grows up in weeds. But if you toss this hoe away, all you have is your bare hands and your garden grows up in weeds"!....Anon.
Lets suppose that the 9/11 conspiracy people get their wish and have the president and all of his cabinet impeached. Like taking out Wendy's or McDonald's hamburgers, outlaw these mega-franchises from doing business, why another chain will just spring up to fill the Void, maybe hardees or KFC! The tree that falls in the woods, that empty spot will be soon enroached upon by all of the lesser trees that were in the shade!
So if Bush is Gone, the political machine will just generate yet another
cabal, maybe even a worse one!
"aha" you say, maybe we all should pull out the Roots, ban all politics and then enact pure Socialism, outlaw capitalism!
Do what Professor Singer wants, to utterly divide the wealth of the world so that each human being has *exactly* the same amount!
but what then happens when Larry Hinseonic, in New Zealand, then buys a pack of cigarettes?! Then the world's wealth is no more equal! One person now has more, one person now has less, than everyone else.
---then someone will use conch shells for trade!
my Point is....Sports fans....Is that all of these Solutions from the Left and the Right are "THING" solutions!
One does not take things through that door called the "Tombstone"!
thus in a profound sense, for me at least, it does not matter that 10 Ruling families control the Oil, or that the government blows up 9/11, all of this is such that all of the perpetuators of these Acts are acting as if
Things Count! Count as "ends", not "means" to an end of growing your soul so to be able to enjoy the afterlife eternal after going through that tombstone door.
one must check in all of their Tools at the construction shack, at the end of the life's day, and to leave that garden for good. None of these tools go with you.
I shudder at all of the Left's wanting all people to be "equal". That means that the dancer must wear lead weights as she dances, as she is better than *you* at dancing and that will Offend!
take a college professor who buys a $190,000 stereo system, why the amplifier alone costs $30,000 and the connecting cables cost $1000!!
This professor is doing research on the *most* exotic, hard to detect, Tones in certain classical music and his paper that he writes is really a book to be published. For this guy, his music system , at $190,000, might not even be ENOUGH, not sensitive enough, even at that level of sophistication: he then goes out and Upgrades to the amount of $80,000 more!! Thus he now has a very very expensive grub hoe! But he Needs this Hoe!
Now take a homeless person who might buy a $5 boom box at the thrift
shop, for him this is an extravagance beyond his need or means, what he really needs is a nice meal!
This homeless person, thusly, is in the "Sin" of extravagance!
Thus my Prediction for the next 5 to 50 years is now to be made, here!
THE WORLD WILL END!
it really really Will end, all of those prophets that have Bible/new age ideas, thump this rant on their pulpits, they are all right, even the ones back in the 1800s. It will end in *your* lifetime and no more fall tree colors or pretty earthly scenes as you will now be DEAD!
and...That is the point, as "death" will come to all, and does it matter if you control all of the world's oil, or direct the Imperial Romeness of America, your tombstone is assured and then what?!!
for the "saved", the Rapture will also occur!
["saved"....Either as given, for the Christians, or to have soul connections to the Great Spirit, for the new agers]
["rapture"...After death your soul goes to live where Spirit is, and your soul does not live in those lower realms of the astral worlds, where the "unspirited" people go.]
---whether a Tidal wave takes you out, whether a 2012 asteroid blows your body to atoms, or whether only a bad flu, or old age takes you out, your Personal Death is the same exact death as if millions die at the same moment!
Thus all of the conspiracy theories, the rants on politics, the wants for "revolutions" of the social orders, why They all are of a certain flavor of "materialsms"!
none of these are "real" when measured by the yardstick of spirit, facing death, except as "Uses"! It is how they are used that count. Used to grow your soul, in spirit.

Xmas in the plantation house
Xmas in the plantation house
the Brokaw-McDougal house. An old plantation house that sits within the city of Tallahassee, florida.
I went inside, today, there seemed to be some kind of reception going on, 40 "blue-blooded" aristrocratic southern ladies, all wearing red dresses, just getting up from a presentation of some sort, having cookies, in the back room, I then stood here, in the only open room, as this park headquarters house, houses not only offices but a "living museam"
of rooms restored with period furniture of the middle 1800s. So here is a bit of underexposed living room of a 1880 plantation house Christmas.
There is a fireplace in each room, that is the heat. maybe 10 to 15 fireplaces in this house, a full time job for the servants to keep them all burning! no air conditioning either, in the tropic summers that last 6 months or more, over 100 days a year of 90 degrees or higher! Note the very very high ceilings with high windows that open to let out the hot air at the top.

xmas front of plantation house
xmas front of plantation house
the Brokaw-McDougal house. An old plantation house that sits within Tallahassee, florida. Now the headquarters of the parks dept.
Interesting how this plantation once had nearly 1000 acres of land, on the outside of the old city limits, a 1880 city with 3,000 people. Today the city has 300,000 people and the property of this plantation is now about ONE acre, and the city utterly surrounds it! the high school is behind it, downtown is only four blocks away!
The front of this house is readied for Christmas, deep in the afternoon shadows.

posted in his photos, this photo.
I like it.
While walking to the Malm÷ Museum, I happened to snap this shot of the park. I am amazed by how this came out. Especially so since it was raining like you wouldn't believe.

I live at a senior independent living facility. The other day, I left my room about 6 PM to take the elevator downstairs. As the elevator door opened, someone else from my floor slowly walked up to the door and we both got on. I noted that she had grocery bags in her hands and I could see that the front bag was full of pill bottles. As this elevator goes to the basement where the recycle bins are, I assumed that she was throwing out her trash.
But as she got on and turned, I could hear the rattle of pills in those empty bottles!
So I asked her if she was throwing out old pills.
She replied, "I am just going to say with relatives overnight, be back tomorrow noon". I have to have my pills that I have to take"!
I estimated, sports fans, that there were about 20 to 30 containers of pills in that bag!! This means that she would take 20 to 30 different KINDS of prescriptions and meds between 6 Pm and noon the next day!
She is not the only one in this building that does this!
The desk lady tells me about the two ladies that takes 20 pills every morning first thing up.
Then there is the guy who I overheard talking about the five conditions that he has and I there realized that he could indeed talk three hours about his condition and he would not even begin to repeat himself!
for many here, "health" *IS* their second career! I suspect that many here have to go see the doctor three or four times a week, for tests, followups, checkups, prescriptions, treatments, exams, Planning, evaluations...etc...etc.
Each visit would consume most of a day.
For them, life IS "maintenance"!
Be thankful to the lord and to Spirit and your genes, for your health!
Now here I might take the "devil's advocate" position. What if these people were living in, say, 1905? They would not have any of these pills, perhaps only one or two, but these elders might not be even alive!
Thus, these 20 pills a day may well keep these older people able to live independently, and out of the end-state nursing home!
They will have extra time to get right with their souls, their relatives, their life!
Maybe more time to learn to love, to forgive someone, to become Saved with Jesus.
Why my own father, who had turned against me, was given an extra year by Spirit:
he made amends with me, and he lived that one year.
I like to think that: that these pill takers at least have the opportunity to
have extra time to learn of life and to grow their souls.
these 20-pill-a-day people are MY and YOUR future! Why even last week
in yahoonews, there was this article below

Insulin Levels Drop With Progression Of Alzheimer's Disease, Linked To Tangles In Brain
Researchers at Rhode Island Hospital and Brown Medical School have discovered that insulin and its receptors drop significantly in the brain during the early stages of Alzheimer's disease, and that levels decline progressively as the disease becomes more severe, leading to further evidence that Alzheimer's is a new type of diabetes. They also found that acetylcholine deficiency, a hallmark of the disease, is linked directly to the loss of insulin and insulin-like growth factor function in the brain.
The study, published in the November issue of the Journal of Alzheimer's Disease (http://www.j-alz.com), is the first to look at insulin levels early in the course of the disease. The authors' previous work published earlier this year primarily focused on the late stages of Alzheimer's.
"Insulin disappears early and dramatically in Alzheimer's disease. And many of the unexplained features of Alzheimer's, such as cell death and tangles in the brain, appear to be linked to abnormalities in insulin signaling. This demonstrates that the disease is most likely a neuroendocrine disorder, or another type of diabetes," says senior author Suzanne M. de la Monte, a neuropathologist at Rhode Island Hospital and a professor of pathology at Brown Medical School in Providence, RI.
They probably will soon develop a "pill" for this and then anyone who is susceptible to Alzheimers, even at an early age, *especially* at an early age, will take one to three pills a day
and these people will *run* to the pharmacy to get these pills to keep senility away!
Thus "pills", by the dozens, are in our future!
You will gladly take them!

getting ready for supper
getting ready for supper
Here at Georgia Belle, the workers and volenteers are getting supper ready.
[Yes i know, this photo will not win awards for technicalness, but I take photos for the journalness of my life, as well as for photoquality!
I live here. i eat supper twice per week and i help out one day of the two. Tonight the supper is lasaunia, a very good lasaunia too. Some people come for all the weekly meals, other pick and choose, tonight there was about 40 to 50 people eating.
ten years ago, i would never have thought that I would live here: many of you all will find that as you grow older, you might like an "Independant living facility" too.
Yes the food is good here. There is a dish to pass meal about once per month, very well attended.
You can see that the halloween decorations are still up, but i took this photo around that time of year.
