never say never!

never say never.
to wit: an example. who in their right mind would get involved with Amway, or some other multi-level marketing sales job?

well...when i used to live in a florida city, i often walked back to my apartment along several residential streets. i got to know of a young man, owned the house, wife and a son; he was a chief at a pizza cafe.
the cafe went out of business. now his wife supported the family and no one was hiring cooks. he tried growing mushrooms... and one day he pulled out his dusty Amway starter kit, to try to sell products to his friends and neighboors. he was good at selling.

soon he was listening to many many motivational tapes and eventually he did not sell anymore to people, he sold only to people who sold. then he soon only sold to people who sell to distributers that sold to sellers who sell to customers.

his wife quit her job to sell amway.

soon he did not even sell to distributers in florida!
his retired parents came out of retirement to become distributers.
he had now a new suit, a new car. he probably now put 100,000 miles a month on his car. many meetings in orlando.
when i left him, he did not even sell to distributers in the usa anymore!
top .01 percent! probably $200,000 to $400,000 a year.

no, this post is not an ad for Amway, it just shows that no matter what type of career path one chooses, there are people who benefit greatly at it and for them it is their Golden Road to Sucess. i read only 20% of the sales people, in Amway, do well.

but a few *really* do well!

article on ...the more religious a country, the more violent it is.

-----the more religious a country, the more violent crime there is, in that country!

Belief in God demonstrably weakens societal well-being
Posted by robertpriddy on October 5, 2017
Here is a thought-provoking excerpt from research by Professor Phil Zuckerman which shows beyond all doubt the deleterious social effects of a belief in God:-
“If it were true that when belief in God weakens, societal well-being diminishes, then we should see abundant evidence for this. But we don’t. In fact, we find just the opposite: Those societies today that are the most religious — where faith in God is strong and religious participation is high — tend to have the highest violent crime rates, while those societies in which faith and church attendance are the weakest — the most secular societies — tend to have the lowest.
We can start at the international level. The most secular societies today include Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Czech Republic, Estonia, Japan, Britain, France, the Netherlands, Germany, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, Hungary, China and Belgium. The most religious societies include Nigeria, Uganda, the Philippines, Pakistan, Morocco, Egypt, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, El Salvador, Colombia, Senegal, Malawi, Indonesia, Brazil, Peru, Jordan, Algeria, Ghana, Venezuela, Mexico and Sierra Leone.
It is the highly secularised countries that tend to fare the best in terms of crime rates, prosperity, equality, freedom, democracy, women’s rights, human rights, educational attainment and life expectancy. (Although there are exceptions, such as Vietnam and China, which have famously poor human rights records.) And those nations with the highest rates of religiosity tend to be the most problem-ridden in terms of high violent crime rates, high infant mortality rates, high poverty rates and high rates of corruption.
Take homicide. According to the United Nations’ 2011 Global Study on Homicide, of the 10 nations with the highest homicide rates, all are very religious, and many — such as Colombia, Mexico, El Salvador and Brazil — are among the most theistic nations in the world. Of the nations with the lowest homicide rates, nearly all are very secular, with seven ranking among the least theistic nations, such as Sweden, Japan, Norway and the Netherlands.”
by Phil Zuckerman – professor of sociobiology and secular studies at Pitzer College in Claremont and the author of “Living the Secular Life”

slaves, we all used to own them! blacks too, pre civil war!

egads! snopes here put this well. blacks owned slaves, in the country. one of the largest slave owner, in the south, was black. Indians owned blacks slaves. Indians owned indian slaves. Africans enslaved each other long before 1776.
so much for the good old days!
even in the 1950s. the good old days were not so good. my social work masters degree sister found a large town in upsate new York where in maybe 1970s the school system did a student survey on inces...t. 40 percent of the kids reported incest in the family! and that is the *reported* percentage!!
a retired policeman from Jacksonville, florida told me in the 1950s that several policemen would get in a patrol car and cruise down black town main street and grab some man at random and then beat him up to a pulp and dump him out onto the street to show everyone....."keep in line, black people"! three or four times a year. *every* policeman did this, he says!
then he told how in many southern cities a black person had to have a written permission slip from his boss in order to visit the white downtown of the city!
even in 1960 tallahassee, i entered a record shop and as i browsed around, the owner comes over to ask what i wanted. i said that i was browsing. he says, "we do not permitt browsing. you come in and ask for what you want and i give it to you"! back then the Individual did not count very much, i guess.
so much for the good old days.
might have been sort of good if you lived on the right side of the tracks and had good health!
we all still have a ways to go. thanks to the spotlight of twitter, facebook, cameras, more comes out into the open.
i have read from many spiritual books and sites that "from now onwards, more and more children are being born that are very old souls and they will exemplify love, truth goodness.". i think the snowflake kids may be some of this group. they really are sensitive to all of the injustices of the modern age, that most of us are still racist, sexist, fixed-opinionated, to some or more degree.
and it is very hard to change when everyone around you is still in a negative mindset! i, myself, grew up in a small town, saturated with the biases and bigotry of the times. you would not want to know the words for jews, italians, polish, that i overheard in my high school. even at 76 years old, my "sponge" is still filled, like with water; with the ways of the 1940s.....1950s.

another talk about these shooter ballistic people

another talk about Shooters.
yes, getting to be nearly every week now, every day even, that someone explodes or coldly calculates to Kill. i suppose the removal of assult rifles might help keep the body count low, but still the problem will remain. why?!
psychologists say that anywhere from 5 to 20 percent of everyone has a "condition". bi-polar, schiziphrenic, or one other of the DMV listings. often these people end up on meds, in jail, homeless. little help, ...little support.
these people have always been with us. but now the country has like 300,000,000 people. more of them.
but as i see it, the Pressure it takes now just to live, exacts a toll on these poor souls. you cannot even apply for a fast food job, now, unless you are good at computer skills. then in maybe five more years every single resturant will have computers on tables and you order there, then go pick up the food from the counter. no more fast food jobs!
the ever increasing stress of today's living puts pressure on disturbed souls. and little social support around to help them.
thus they go ballistic more often, these days.

i have lost two friends to Madness. everyone that i seem to know has a friend or relative who is "insane"! one of these childhood friends, in later years, i actually think he thought of killing me!
maybe we need "villages". communties with open no-walls where people with problems can go stay or even live. hundreds of these Villages are needed. where is the money going to come from, you ask! well, probably soon we all might have to change our entire economy system! or else! or else will will have such explosions nearly every day from angy disturbed people.
we worship the big money and the "person who makes it Big"!
but maybe we need to turn our economy to a service economy, where people who serve and help others recieve the highest wages!
school teachers, libarians, nurses, especially the low level CNAs who are on the front lines of nursing and do the dirty work!
the average commute time, i read, is now two hours and increases every year. stress stress stress. some day the entire human race might just collapse from exhauston ! "no more", they will say, then Invoke uncounsciously the asteroid or 40 volcanoes to erupt all at once, to remove the monster that is killing our souls.
in miami in the 70s, i was walking with my sister and we saw a kid throw rocks at the wall of a school, through the chain link fence opening. my sister said it first: "he is merely trying to kill the monster that is destroying his soul!"!
she was then the Director of social work at the largest miami hospital and also a professor of social work at a Lauderdale university! she had a masters in social work!

the vegas shooting.

---the vegas shooting!
some thoughts.
we have been breeding these people for years. then as we all have more freedom to do what we want, the handicapped have more access, the battered wife can now Leave, these people also have more freedom!
and breeding them for years. broken families, broken jobs, broken meanings for living; the shizhoprenic and psychotic have had little help.
i, myself, have known at least TWO men like this! they imploded with rage, rage against the government, against modern life, against all. i escaped with my life!!
there are so so many mountain valley dead end roads with where the dirt track end at a gate with a SEVERE no tresspassing sign! you hear the dogs barking.
and we will have more of these incidents. lone wolves nearly always win as they are undetectible.
so what can we all do?
some random ideas off of the top of my head.
---find some great collective Meaning to our lives. maybe a religion without guilt and fear inducing dogma. the usa has lost its purpose, i fear....
---ask why so many people use recreational drugs! what is missing in their lives, to make a drug high to be more meaningful then anything else?!
---we need to care more for the sick, the elderly, our children.
like: corporate nursing homes that value the $$$ over resident care! no wonder young people today want socialism!
ah...but the youth forget that it is not the political system that is at fault, it is the managers within it. does not matter if capitalism or communism, the inner circle of good old boys get it all.
we all should try to live the Boy Scout Oath, try to live like Jesus would live. Love Goodness Truth! each of us has spiritual value, proven by Jesus telling the woman of the well of Samara , the prostitute, that she is worthy to be Saved.
i read once that in the heaven that angels live in, the greatest happiness of *a* angel is to try to make all of the other angels around her to be happier than she is!
we shoulr all try to apply this here on earth!
we need to pay much more focus on the children and the elderly and to education. much much more. in fact as much of our industrial might either goes to other countries or is automated, SERVICE CAREERS i would suggest. Tallahassee memorial hospital says it will need 500 more new nurses in the next two years. this does not count the 8 to 10 new assisted living facilites being build now here in tallahassee! each will need from 10 to 40 nurses.
we need Real mental health facilites and live in places for those who cannot function well. if they have a Life, they might not go so "ballistic"!
prisions should be for reform....
i repeat: converting our way of life to socialism, or to some other ism, will not work. it is a manager problem instead. individual people make or break an "ism".
Something Must Be Done soon! or else we all might "vote" for a repressive society just so that we all can have a safe life!
i have rambled on long enough....freestone

I heard a voice , in last night,s dreaming.

already as i sit here, at 7 am just before breakfast, i can think of many ramifications of this saying.

God loves me, Christ loves me, whether I know this or not.  if i feel angry or depressed, i am sort of invalidating this Love.

on the secular level, i can see already many examples of this love.
I live in a senior home with many nurses and caregivers.  dailiy, i see the care and good attention that is given to the residents here, many who have severe alzeimers and dementia.  there are wonderful volunteers who come, like the wonderful lady who often comes to help with breakfast.  one can take this for granted, to complain constantly like a few seniors here do.  i see this every day, a nurse comforts an old lady in her wheelchair, kind words spoken to another, and also many "children" coming to see their parents, here.
there is so much to be thankful for.   good food, a nice bed to sleep in.  no earthquakes, storms, floods.

I understand that there are angels all around us, unseen, not noticed.  they shower love and attention too, upon us.
the angels love, in return, happy people.
like even in the small things, like Mrs Jones had a hard day at the office and after work she comes to the cafe.  today they have her very favorite desert.  earlier in the day, an angle inspires a server to "mistake", to accidently push a desert behind some other food, at the rear of the cooler.  when she comes in the server tells her that they ran out an hour ago but that "i will go look".  sure enough he sees the hidden pie.
"you are in luck, there was a hidden piece behind the cakes".
 not luck.

then also one has to love oneself too.  to know that one is Loved.  to accept what oneself is.   even if you are now in a wheelchair and can barely feed yourself and were once a high level military man, used to giving orders, now you can only accept orders from everyone around you!

so this phrase..."do not throw my love away", can be seen on many levels.  I can Understand why many people do not want to hear about God, they grew up, perhaps, under "religious abuse"!  or that they see only the corruption in the churches;  this saying does not have to apply only to God loving us each!

you influnce everything around you!

ah...very good.
this here freestone, maybe from growing up out in the countryside a mile from a tiny town, a town that is called by the residents, "the twilight zone", the tv series by Rod Serling, a town where Rod Serling is buried in the town cemetery, he wrote his stores here in this town:   I, who majored in weather, meteorology, Know that the weather that we get is not the random weather that we get!
the weather overhead is influenced by the collective unconscious of the people below!
everything influences everything!
---walk into a cafĂ© or pub feeling either angry or happy, what happens inside of this place is related to your state of being!   from the people drawn to you to the size and condition of the slice of apple pie that you get for desert, is not random.
"chapel perilous" !!
---someone once told me about this, maybe an idea from Allister Crowley.
a normal unspiritual person, who has little astral, etheric, spirit plane presence, has much less Influence to the surround around that person.
but if this person has joined some Magik group or otherwise been Opened to Development, where occult powers are activated, NOW the influences to environment  are hugely increased!
thus one has to now really also develop self control and discipline and integrity.  ethics and morals.  other wise all of one,s crap from their unconscious will ALSO   loop out into the outer world and Activate and influence!
ah...if one was a temple Initiate in a previous lifetime incarnation, oh Dear!   they are Opened by default, and from childhood onwards they are like a bull in a china shop fed a handful of caffeine pills!
some go insane!
some deny their faith.
some become Illumined.

How rural poverty is changing: Your fate is increasingly tied to your town – The Washington Post

via How rural poverty is changing: Your fate is increasingly tied to your town – The Washington Post
the new Poverty zone, the rural areas with the small towns also. only those who cannot dream, do not leave! thus the poor, the elderly, the sick, remain behind. off to the largest metroplex that you can find.
the Post says…
.””That’s the story of the new rural poverty in America: If your hometown went south, you probably did with it, unless you managed to get out and had the wherewithal to not come back.
The poverty of Las Animas isn’t the poverty of Appalachia or the Mississippi Delta or an Indian reservation, entrenched and intergenerational, enforced by age-old hierarchies of race and class. It’s the kind of poverty that can affect anyone who finds themselves in a place when the native industries disappear, as they have in Southeast Colorado and other rural areas across America.
“It just led to other things,” Martinez says, of the lack of jobs growing up. “Anything just to get money, because there’s nothing here, there’s nothing here. Everyone is on some sort of income here, whether it’s welfare or Social Security, so it’s not like there’s people here who could pay someone to go do their yard.””
I, myself, i have seen these towns. empty storefronts. dying churches. 2000+ acre farms that look and act like factories, as they bought out other small farms as the little farmers leave. i lived in my hometown in the late 90s. a farmer sold his farm and his relative offered him a job in a warehouse in Philadelphia.
going or gone: the small town rural verities like ,
..church socials. boy scouts. dish to pass suppers, bingo, masonic lodges. and all of the traditions that made America what it is…..
i had a thought this morning at breakfast after telling someone about weedkiller in most of our foods, the thought was about what will replace all of our traditions? what will be the New ways of life for us all?
dark thoughts alert!
the vibrant urban dweller, at first the young people, then for us all older people as the years go by.
some adjectives: Bro. meterosexual. clubbing. transgen. rainbow people. vibrant urban. live your dreams. mobile phone texting as the heart of living.
the church will come last. jesus will not be a part of their lives, at all.
nearly all cities all over the world will have this very same culture. look at our youth, today: they set the trend for us all.
here is an example from my own 700 people small town.  in 1960, a girl in my class, a very strong believer  in fundamentalist way of life, went to college at Bob Jones University.  the most conservative fundamentalist college!
ah…but many years later I learned what happened to her.  she dropped out, went to another school, eventually got her doctors degree in psychiatry .  she opened an office in Manhattan to practice psychiatry .  she specialized with helping gay people and transgen people with their personal problems and identity acceptance.    she apparently had a lady live in partner too.
at her obituary, recently, people praised her for her care and help.
I met one of her older relatives in front of her childhood home, the lady said that…”we do not know her anymore”!    I felt there were two meanings here, one…we do not understand her at all, and two..we do not WANT to know her anymore:  write her out of our lives!
—she lived her Dream.  only the largest cities will Do!  she left.
at the same year, a lady telling me about her bad divorce, she lived four miles out in the country, she says for three miles in any direction, a rural slum!  alcoholics, wife beaters, abusers, bad people.
she left to finish college 1200 miles away.
I am glad that i am 76 years old!  i will not fit into this way of life!

the newspapers just keep walking away!

the newspapers keep walking away!
here at the Oaks, in the library, there is a table where there are three newspapers for us all to read. the Oaks subscribes.
I try to read at least one of them every day after supper.
I have been here now about three years, about a year ago, someone or someones took one of these papers long before the day was over, took it to their apartment or room. the librarian placed a sign on the table, "please do not remove these papers, they ar...e libary copies". to no avail. they once pasted *on* the papers a note saying the same thing. someone ripped off the note and took the paper and the crumpled note seemed to infer, "HA...this paper is MINE, i worked hard all of my life and now that i am retired, it is due for me! GOTTYA"!
they tell me that no one has taken papers for years.
I can see now why they take them!
---a few years ago the retirees hailed from the period of the great depression and the War. people took care more of each other and looked out for other people. church socials and cafeterias and boy scouts and mom stayed home to raise the kids.
the baby boomers begin in 1947. thus now the New Generation has begun to arrive here at the Oaks. the "me" generation! it is all about me. self actualization. the handicapped has better access, the battered wife can leave, the small towns empty as anyone who can Dream can Leave.
no more cafeterias, the churches are dying and the people who dream often end up being one of the top 5% as they made a good life with their dream$.
some of these people consider anything that they touch to be theirs. thus the loss of papers.
its getting worse now. rare is the day that all of the papers are there. yesterday, sunday, only two sections of the sunday Times was left. i expect that my paper reading days are nearly over!

the rapture maybe explained.

Here an interesting piece (not recent, by the good channeler Paul
Shockley, who worked from 1963+), on how the 'good' people leaving
earth is part of the plan. Yes, I can imagine that. May take thousands
of years, but eventually the unpleasant humans would get sick of the
nastiness, and of having no innocent victims!

"Entities living in such a condition
are basically starting over, and may find that the only good in
their environment is whatever
good they can generate from
within themselves and attempts
to spread it among others in
their environment on this hostile
planet in order to have anything
of enjoyment available to them
in that new situation.
In other words, when the good
people of the earth have been
taken to a higher dimension and
only those of hostility remain,
then those of the hostility
attitudes will recognize what they have lost and may begin to
understand the value of higher ethical and spiritual principles and
they may then wish to start making changes within themselves to
produce spirituality and good in a very negative and hostile world. It
will be a kind of
a new start of spiritual evolution
beginning at the very bottom of
the spiritual evolution cycle.

There are many entities who
have a great disdain, in fact, a
hostility, a disrespect for entities
who are spiritual inclined or
entities who are basically good,
or entities who are loving in their
behavior. They see this as a
weakness, and they have
contempt for this. But when
these entities have to live in a
society wherein all people are
like themselves: equally hostile
toward any signs of goodness,
hostile toward any signs of
spiritual and human kindness as
qualities held by entities; when
they find there are no spiritual
people like themselves, and they
get no reaction from the good
people of earth, and only like
themselves are there to relate to;
they cannot shock each other in
the same way that they could
shock a good person.
They cannot frighten each other
in the same way with the same
results, that they might frighten a
good person, a loving person. All
they have is mirror images of
their own hostility among
everyone they meet.
Then such
entities will realize they are truly
in a kind of social hell and that
the behavior they have adopted
for their lifestyle is that which
gives them no satisfaction
whatsoever and the contempt
they have for the good people
of earth, for the loving people, is
unable to be expressed because
there is no one around like this,
no one is kind to exhibit or exert
your contempt for; then these
people will find themselves
isolated and there will be only
one thing for them to do besides
try to survive and stay alive.

There will only be one thing of
any value for them, and that is
to find something decent within
themselves, to nurture and to
cultivate. That if this can happen
for a few of these entities, then
the evolutionary cycle of spiritual
development on that planet will
begin afresh, and after
thousands or perhaps hundred
of thousands of years, that
planet will again grow into a
civilization in which many entities
are ready to be raptured and
move into a higher frequency, a
higher dimension.

This is the pattern of the
evolution of humanity as it
pertains to the earth in its
historical cycle. It has long been
a place where the dropped and
placed for learning how to cope
in an undisciplined environment
and the long period of evolution
has led the earth to a point in
which the good can be harvested
or raptured and taken to a new
planet on a higher dimension
and enjoy a greater peace than
has been available on this planet
heretofore; and those of a
negative nature will be left
behind as the planet spirals
downward in its vibration to
lower frequencies that are
emanating from those entities
who have little spiritual value."
