here in tallahassee the tropical rain season may have begun. fact juicy clouds. One could just raise up the unfurled umbrella and poke a hole in the bottom of such a cloud and down it comes!
4 to 15 inches a month, from June to September. Or later. A dewpoint to either live or die for.....70 to 80 degrees dewpoint with 100 days a year of 90 or higher for the daily high temperature.

The Old Georgia Cabin.
My Independant senior living apartments, Westminster Gardens, had today an Art show. there were many pictures on the walls and this one is my favorite.
"HOUSE IN GEORGIA" by Jeannie Porter.
This cabin was her mothers. She might have been born there and lived there. About 40 miles North of Tallahassee.
maybe no running water, probably an outhouse in back. maybe three kids, maybe eight kids. the fireplace was the winter heat and maybe even the cookstove too. At best a wood kitchen stove. pump the water from a well, no matter if raining or cold. up at dawn and to bed at dusk. Some families never named their children until they were one year old as so so many died in that first year.
I wonder, though, was her mother happier than many ladies who live there in this town today?! "Happiness" is an inner thing, a spiritual thing. does not depend upon having a split level ranch home in the North side of Tallahassee!
