storm cloud from smoke: very rare!!

storm cloud from smoke: very rare!!

here is something very rare! this thunderhead might *look* to be an ordinary storm cloud, but look again. There is a small but intense forest fire off to the southwest, in the national forest. the heat updraft is so strong that a cloud has formed on top of the heat column and high enough into the upper air so that rain might be falling.
Not the best of photo quality, but to take a picture *into* the sun makes for a tricky shot.

I have heard of rain falling from these smoke-storms and this rain puts the fire out. Or lightning forms and starts yet more fires!

just a march 24th day next to where I live.

just a march 24th day next to where I live.

this street is about 100 foot from where I live, Westminster gardens apartments, here in tallahassee.
A typical warm spring end of March. leaves come out. up North the buds might not be out until early May.
at a Price, 100 days a year of 90 degrees or more!

there is a park along the street where I walk weekend mornings, a "wilderness" park. "it" comes right up next to the sidewalk. In the middle of January I could see into this jungle for about 15 to 20 feet. Today I could see ten feet. last week this jungle chortled to itself, full of frogs.
I cannot even imagine going into this jungle to see what plants are there. Years ago, in a similar jungle it took me 30 minutes to walk 200 feet!
Lush and green. there are many streets like this here. Plants grow fast.

I knew someone, in a city 120 miles away, who bought an old house in the spring, then he went to Alaska to work for the summer to pay for it. when he returned to his house he could not find it!!
the Kudzu vines ate it! he had to strip off the vines.

the garden

the westminster gardens art show. they changed the name of my senior residence from "Georgia Belle, to this new name. For to celebrate this name-change, they held a small art show with the art teacher in charge. She painted this painting.
next week she is moving to the mountains near Asheville, North Carolina. Might be a good place to move to, in these 2012 times! Her mother lives near there too.
She painted this "innocent looking" painting, showing the small flower garden behind the building.
Not everyone will notice that the cute looking hawk is coming to Feed at the bird waterer but that it is not water or seeds that this hawk is after!

She told me she deliberately created a sense of "menace" in the painting! She is believing that the 2012 year will have many many changes happen to us and those two seniors sitting on the bench are utterly unaware that their whole world-reality might soon be turned upside down soon!

an artist's work, here at my senior Home.

an artist's work, here at my senior Home.

here at Westminster gardens, Tallahassee, Florida, named changed from "Georgia Belle", there was an art show today, A lady in charge of the art studio, put this show on, to showcase residents works of art, mostly from her class.

Patsy McConnell is the name of the artist who painted this painting.

the painting is of her mother, each dog is a dog that she owned during her life of 62+ years.

There are a fair number of seniors who are in her class, there in the studio. there must have been six to ten artists at this show in the dining room.
one of my favorite paintings, here at Westminster Gardens.

Never too too old to paint or draw. certainly never too old to Imagine....!!

safe places to live at the endtimes , madness

hi all.
[hopefully I have not posted this here before!]
safe zone madness.  Remote view people talk of safe zones;  places to move your family to before when the S hits the fan.  or maybe to drive to, with your last tank of gas, the very moment you know It Is Coming, the "Killshot" or whatever.
I hear the rustle of maps and i see a light on in the living room, at a midnight suburban neighborhood, in a large city.
Closer Look shows about four men peering over maps.
they plan to find a safe area to evacuate to, when the S. hits the fan.
"there" one man says.
"agreeed, there It Is" they exclaim, about 3 AM in the morning, tipped over coffee cups and wadded paper all around.
"Pine Ridge, there in the Appalachians.   only way in is over a 2000 foot mountain pass or two.  there is a town of 300 in the valley and maybe 50 small farms: the Perfect Spot.
these men do not notice that other lights are on, here and there, up and down this street.....
One day as the local tv basketball game is about 20 minutes into the game, the screen fades to....the
White House Podium and Obama climbs up to face 40 microphones.  there is talk about asteriod XZ762, and how now suddenly NASA has discovered it and this Thing is 34 miles wide and is going to direct-hit the earth in two days!
there now is a mad shuffle in this house.  duffle bags and suitcases and a crying baby.
IN to the car and off!!
to...
Pine Ridge valley!
they arrive near dusk.  they wonder why the grass on the side of the mountain road, to the Pass, is SO worn!
"looks like 50 trucks have come through here recently, mining trucks"?!
they enter this town.
imagine this: there are 8,000 cars seen all around this town.  there are maybe 5000 people gathered around the 3 businesses.  there now are *MANY* sounds of crying babies and far far off into the distance.
the Sherriff  stands in front of Creek general store, he has a bullhorn.  from his vantagepoint he now can see at laest another 2000 cars coming down the two pass roads!  he tries to speak, telling everyone that the one gas station has run out of gas, the grocery store is exhausted, and the Killshot is not due to tomorrow, and that he now expects at least 50,000 more people to come to his valley!
talk about 400 people trying to get upon a ten foot lifeboat!!
yes,  80,000 lights were on, at 3 in the morning, all over the east coast and everyone in those living rooms were looking for *the* safe spot!  guess what.  pine ridge valley won hands down.
800 kids Need Bathroom *Now*!
I am hungry.
shoot those minority people if they come in!
the crowd surges forwards toward this sherriff.
popping sounds are then heard:  "bang, band"!
Does Not Look Good.
moral: if you gotta have that safe Place, choose very very carefully, make sure it is one that few other will also find out about.
I would suggest that one find this safe spot in your own heart, via Spirit is real.  then accept going to the afterlife.
but there are maybe a few Spirit-designated survivors, but you know who you are and have made preparations for this years ago!
